DMM 1213 GRAPHIC AND IMAGE EDITING 1 (SEM 2 YEAR 1)
This course prepares students for activities involving the design, development, and testing of modelling, rendering, and animation solutions to a broad variety of problems found in major graphic areas.

DGD 2133 2D ANIMATION (SEM 4 YEAR 2)
This course covers animation terminologies and brief history of classical animation. Using simple character forms, students will learn to apply and explore the basic principles of traditional animation, planning, timing and pacing patterns, deciding key frames and action. Other related principles like rhythm involved in drawn animation will also be covered.

DMM 1233 DIGITAL ADVERTISING (SEM 4 YEAR 2)
Critical thinking and problem solving skills will be stressed to help students communicate better. By combining concepts of advertising, art and design with innovative technology, students will be inspired to creatively improve the way people are experiencing and interacting with information. Students will present their projects and research results through multimedia, oral and written presentations. Students’ work is expected to be high quality and meet the established standards.

DGD 1243 TYPOGRAPHY (SEM 3 YEAR 1)
The design concept underlying the typography is based on the need for global convergence to position gas as one of the main and vital energy resources in the empowerment of growth and international development. The type of topographies is conceived to reflect a circular configuration depicting the world.

DMM 1313 DIGITAL AUDIO PRODUCTION (SEM 3 YEAR 1)
Students will learn the fundamental concepts of contemporary Audio Production in a computer based audio, editing, and mixing environment. The student will create content that meets modern broadcast and web delivery standards, and gain experience in session and data management.

DMM 1323 WEB PUBLISHING
This course is designed to provide an educational foundation for a range of creative, technical and management careers in the multimedia industry. It also to enhance students’ ability in multimedia development through the effective use of knowledge in the rapidly developing field of creative media.

DIT 2223 DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (DMM Student Only)
Database management systems are standard tools that enable the storage and retrieval of data within modern information systems. It deals with implementation aspects of relational systems as well as to the internal structure and performance issues related to DBMS. This course examines information about database system architecture, the system catalog, query processing and optimization, transaction processing concepts, concurrency control techniques, database recovery techniques, database security and authorization, Data base tuning, and emerging technologies and application

DMM 2113 DIGITAL VIDEO PRODUCTION (SEM 5 YEAR 2)

Skills learned will include preproduction planning and writing, production, post production, camera techniques, equipment use, video editing and graphics, and sound editing.

DMM 2123 BASIC 3D MODELLING
Students will explore an introduction to three-dimensional design concepts. Students investigate the forces that influence the design of objects and spaces including, but not limited to, art objects. In the most basic case, three-dimensional models can be created from simple shapes like cubes, rectangles, and triangles. These shapes are then modified into complex, high-polygon designs which can be directly applied to this course. The various assignments are intended to allow students to develop artistically and creatively within a given framework.
- CLO1: Demonstrate the skill & knowledge in 3D Modelling and Animation
- CLO2: Practice the fundamentals of modelling, such as lighting, texturing, and rendering
- CLO3: Demonstrate 3D geometry using shapes, primitives, compound objects and editable poly tools
- Assignment 1: 10%
- Assignment 2: 20%
- Assignment 3: 20%
- Final Project: 50%

DMM 2133 MULTIMEDIA AUTHORING 1 (SEM 4 YEAR 2)
This course is both an interactive overview for artists, producers, and community media and technology practitioners and a helpful course for students who are interested in creating their own multimedia/digital media projects. Students may choose a specific area of multimedia authoring and present their finished project via the Web, CD or DVD. Only a basic knowledge of computers is required and some knowledge of multimedia is helpful but not necessary.
