SKM Aesthetic Therapy Services Level 3

Aesthetic Therapy Services offer a wide variety of body improvement and enhancement manually or by using equipment. The therapies services include activities such as manual body massage, body wrap, thermal therapies, body electrotherapy, décolleté therapy.  All the services are handled professionally in safe, hygienic and well maintained salon environment and complying regulatory/statutory body’s requirements, meaning a proper consultation will be carried out prior therapies in order to ascertain client’s body physique and condition before suitable therapies and products being recommended to client. The therapies procedure also follow beauty industry guidelines and other regulatory/statutory bodies’ standards/requirements in protecting the safety, health and welfare of people engaged in services or employment. In Aesthetic Therapies services the personnel also responsible in supervising the salon operation and optionally involves in selling services and products offered in the salon.

CA adalah program pembelajaran teras wajib untuk pensijilan calon, berkuat kuasa mulai 1 Jun 2006. CA harus digunakan sebagai pelengkap program NOSS untuk membantu pekerja di Malaysia lebih relevan dan berdaya saing di era globalisasi ini. Program CA menggabungkan kemahiran generik yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap pekerja untuk prestasi.

CA adalah alat pembelajaran, menyokong keperluan NOSS, yang membantu pelatih memperoleh, menerapkan pengetahuan kemahiran insaniah yang komprehensif dan disyorkan untuk bekerja.

This new Level 3 NCS document supports NOSS in related industrial sectors. CA were developed as a supplement to the development of Malaysian National Occupational Skill Standards (NOSS) for various fields, with reference to overseas sources (Australia, Canada, Germany, UK and USA) and NCS-CA brainstorming sessions. A number of experts from various industries were assembled to identify, formulate, conclude and recommend essential CA in work place requirements. Advancing towards the goal of becoming a fully- developed high income nation by the year 2020, Malaysia requires minimum 50 percent certified skilled workforce. Thus, there is an increasing need for the development of CA to support the industrial based skill standards for various industries in Malaysia.

The six main CA essential to one’s success in obtaining and performing jobs, were identified to meet the nation’s vision and mission on human resource development which are:

i. Effective Communication

ii. Information Technology Awareness l

iii. Leadership Skills

iv. Workplace Ethics

v. Administrative Skills

vi. Health, Safety & Environment Consciousness

These abilities are considered essential and are generally relevant to all related services and production industries. The CA gives added values to the labour market, as employers prefer to hire and promote individuals who can communicate clearly, act responsibly, think critically, act creatively, adapt to change, demonstrate integrity, work cooperatively and productively. This document shows the level of learning for Level 3 CA, providing a structured set of abilities that enables a person to complete the CA requirements.
