DGD1113 FUNDAMENTAL OF DRAWING (Sem 1 Year 1)
In this course, students will be introduced to the elements and principles of design as they explore an array of drawing techniques whereby they will be provided with specific drawing experiences and to build basic perceptual skills in terms of drawing. Students will experiment with different media in creating art projects, as they develop their own personal vision.

DGD1213 PRINCIPLES OF DESIGN (Sem 2 Year 1)
This module explores graphic communication through the understanding of the elements and principles of design, as well as the design process, including idea development through final execution. Students develop basic skills in two-dimensional design, colour and content creation while employing the design process of research, sketching and experimentation.
DGD1223 ART HISTORY (Sem 2 Year 1)
Art of the Western tradition (paintings, sculptures and architecture etc.) from Paleolithic to Baroque to Rococo, including Ancient Near-East, Egyptian, Islamic and Oriental influences and extends as far as Impressionism, and concludes with Modern and Contemporary.
DGD1243 TYPOGRAPHY (Sem 2 Year 1)
The design concept underlying the typography is based on the need for global convergence to position gas as one of the main and vital energy resources in the empowerment of growth and international development. The type of topographies is conceived to reflect a circular configuration depicting the world.
